The eldest of seven children, Marilyn (Jones) McGhee was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi. At the age two, she moved with her parents to Omaha, Nebraska as they sought better job opportunities.  She married Pastor Jeremiah McGhee and for 19 years, he was the pastor of Mt. Sinai Church and she worked by his side as First Lady.  Marilyn first joined this same church at age 11 and served all the way through her adult years.  She co-founded a ministry called New Creations, Inc. which targeted homelessness as well as drug and alcohol abuse.  Marilyn and her husband share a heart for the Community and have given of themselves in the Greater Omaha Community.  She is the mother of seven, stepmother to three and proud grandmother of seventeen!  Her love of singing began at an early age in Youth Choir and has remained a major part of her life.  Marilyn believes that singing is a gift from God and says that “being a member of 7ven-Fold is truly one of the joys of my life because there is nothing like singing with family”.  Marilyn enjoys spending time with her family, finds shopping relaxing and hopes one day to visit the Holy Land.
